For the Book Worms.

I love reading. I wish I had more time to do it. But in the bits and pieces of time that I do have, I soak it up like its sunshine on a Winter's day. This year we are putting together some book lists {and will have the bookstore open} for the Conference. Here are just a few we've fallen in love with:

-Esther, by Charles Swindoll
This book is a little older but amazing in content. I've read it {3} times. Once in highschool. Once in college. And once when I got married. Different perspectives every time. Swindoll goes through the life of Queen Esther and puts historical content to it, giving you a deeper understanding to what she went through as a woman, a wife, and a queen.

-Crazy Love, by Francis Chan
Overwhelmed by a relentless God is the subtitle that caught my attention. It's all stuff I knew as a believer, but put in a completely different light, mood, tone, and mission. Inspiring and buttkicking.

-Cold Tangerines, by Shauna Neiquist
     One of my personal favorites...

Shauna is very frank, honest, and adorably cute in her first of many books. In a celebratory light, she addresses her own stories of pain, pleasure, and perseverance. Gooooood read. It is a good book for adults and teens alike. For teens it has the opportunity to teach you what to do and what not to do...learning from her fortunes and mistakes. For adults, it is endearing and purging to relate with someone who went through exactly what we did. We think we are, but we're so not alone.

Conference is in 3 Months!

Start spreading the word.
